My Portfolio
Philip Morris, a Fortune 100 multinational, is embracing a smoke-free future. As part of a small, high-calibre team, I led the relaunch of a differentiated life insurance proposition in the UK within just six months. Additionally, I was involved in the exploration of life and medical insurance product strategies in global markets, mainly Japan.
• Designed, delivered, and optimized the online customer experience, brochure site, and sales journey, taking ownership of the end-to-end customer journey.
• Served as the UX/Digital SME for brand and digital marketing agencies, ensuring campaign alignment and optimization. • Collaborated with technical solution providers and underwriters/re-insurers to determine use case requirements and user flows of advanced decision engines. I also optimized funnel conversion and CRM (Salesforce) customer touchpoints and communications.
• Contributed to a Board-level strategy document, working alongside the MD, Commercial and Finance Director, to expand complex products in challenging international (Europe and Japan) markets with complex financial and product regulations.
Beagle Street & Virgin Money Life Insurance

At Beagle Street, we made life insurance simple and accessible in the UK. As a member of the BGL Life Executive team, I played a key role in driving annual double-digit conversion growth for the company. Our digital-first approach and customer-centric design have taken share from incumbents, and we are proud to have won ‘Best online life insurer’ at the YourMoney.com awards multiple times.
Here are some of my key accomplishments at Beagle Street:
• Led a lean but ambitious high-performing team, responsible for Analytics, MI, Research, Design, and Conversion Rate Optimisation. I also led the Marketing team (Annual budget c.£5M) on two separate occasions during times of transition, developing strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Applied behavioural science to the online experience and designed a proprietary customer-centric design system and processes that have improved quality and efficiency across the organization.
• Delivered best-in-class brochure site, guided quote-and-buy sales journeys, and online customer account areas, resulting in industry-leading NPS scores and Trust Pilot reviews. Consistent test-and-learn approach to conversion optimization led to annual double-digit conversion growth.
Compare The Market – Car Finance Proposition
Compare the Market is one of Global Z’s top 100 brands and the UK’s leading price comparison site. It exists to make financial decision-making a breeze for everyone. I designed an innovative Car Finance proposition, moving at pace with a lean team; taking a business case to MVP in under six months. The product solves core customer problems with a unique approach.
Leading a lean cross-functional team, I took the Car Finance proposition from ideation to MVP in under six months, working at a fast pace and using lean methodologies to ensure efficiency and agility. My role involved driving the ideation and design process, as well as rapid prototyping to test and validate the concept. I then conducted quantitative and qualitative research with users, including vulnerable and impaired customers, to ensure the product solved core customer problems with a unique approach.
The user testing (summarised in the video above) successfully validated the unique customer value proposition, which was well received by our users. As a result, I defined and designed an MVP that validated business case metrics and facilitated learnings from customers.
Unfortunately, due to internal changes at Compare the Market, the Car Finance proposition was not launched to the market. Nevertheless, the project was a valuable learning experience, providing an opportunity to work on a high-profile project with a top 100 global brand and develop skills in agile product development, user research, and team leadership.
Getlife – European Start-up
Getlife is a Madrid-based InsureTech start-up that secured €6M in seed funding to make protection products more accessible and straightforward across continental Europe. As a member of the executive team, I have been instrumental in bringing order and direction to a previously chaotic product roadmap, shaping the company’s culture, and building a high-performing product squad. Through the implementation of efficient tools and processes, we have increased capability and efficiency, and the company is now disrupting the Spanish and French markets.

Here are some of my key accomplishments at Getlife:
• Built a talented product team and established a framework for user-centered design and development efficiency. We sourced and implemented tools for analytics, qualitative insight, design processes, and AB testing, ensuring that we could work effectively and efficiently to achieve our goals.
• Delivered a new D2C subscription funnel and a new headless CMS (Strapi) with a React front-end component library, resulting in a conversion uplift and enhanced engineering resource efficiency and capability for the Product & Marketing teams.
• Collaborated with insurers to optimize and predict underwriting decisions using non-traditional data, improving accuracy and efficiency while streamlining the process.
• Optimized the B2B underwriting platform used by thousands of brokers daily across Spain, resulting in a more effective and streamlined process for all parties involved.
• Successfully delivered new product roll-outs into new countries and pitched to VCs and investors, demonstrating the company’s potential for growth and profitability.
